When we were planning our move to Australia, I read a lot of Australian blogs as research – Australian lifestyle blogs, Australia travel blogs, blogs by people doing the big lap of Australia, Australia parenting blogs, Australia fashion blogs – I trawled through all of them searching for information about the places we were thinking about moving, to learn about the lifestyle in Australia and to get ideas about travelling in Australia.

I got so much inspiration from those who were travelling around Australia or sharing their experiences about places to visit in Australia and things to do in Australia – it really kept me going on the days that our Australian visa seemed to be taking forever to come through!

The best Australian bloggers know the cool local things to do in Australia, they know which are the best places to live in Australia, they know the best places to visit in Australia for a holiday and they know everything about the best of Australia’s tourist attractions. The best blogs in Australia in the travel and lifestyle niches share their tips and secrets about their local area which can really help you get to know your new home.

Whether you’re still trying to decide on the best places in Australia to live, you’re planning the best places to go in Australia for a holiday or for an Australia road trip, or you’ve already moved to Australia and you’re trying to get to know your new home better, destination-focused Australia blogs will help you to find out more about living, exploring and travelling in Australia.

You’re going to love this list of Australian blogs! I’ve broken it down by location to make it easy for you to find those Australia blogs that interest you. Most of them are family blogs because I know when you’re moving to Australia with kids making sure your kids get settled is a top priority. Towards the end of the post, there is also a section listing blogs about travelling around Australia and doing the big lap (just in case that is on your to-do list once you get settled!), along with the state tourism websites which are packed with inspiration.

I hope you enjoy the list! And if you do, please remember to give it a share on social media.

After school today, we spent some time with the PROJECT LOVE e-book for a “hearty” dose of crafting. Miss 7 loved the look of a lot of the projects, but for today she finally decided on @creatingcreatives ‘ Appreciation Hearts. This is such a sweet and easy project- the printable template includes pre-made compliment cards, as well as these pretty blank hearts. Miss 7 wanted to make a bunch for her school friends, and I love how she really thought about each friend to give them each a unique compliment.I think she’ll be spreading some smiles tomorrow- most of all her own. ???????????? If you haven’t heard about it yet, Project Love is the brainchild of @ohcreativeday , who brought together 24 creative bloggers, each sharing a love based project for families. It’s on sale at her website (I’ve put a link in my bio, as well, to make it easy to find). The e-book is $10 AUD (about $6.72 USD), and is only available for sale this month. Every dollar raised goes to @foodbankaus for bushfire relief. So much ❤️!

20 Things I’ve Learnt Since Becoming A Mum: 1. Going to the toilet alone is a luxury, not a right. 2. It’s possible to function on little to no sleep and coffee alone. (I said function, I didn’t say function well.) 3. Parental pride is one of the most overwhelming feelings in the world. It’s hard to believe that you’ll ever gush over someone successfully taking a poo in the toilet, but trust me, that day will come. 4. Hangovers and children are possibly one of the worst combinations known to man. 5. You will always go overboard with spending on birthdays and Christmas whether you mean to or not. 6. There is no situation, no matter how terrible you feel, that can’t be made better with a cuddle from your kids. Read the rest on our sister site Motherd. As the ash starts to settle on our beautiful state, we’re calling for locals to #BookThemOut – helping the regions of South Australia that need us most. Aside from donating your money, time and belongings, the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island rely heavily on tourism to survive. Booking a day trip, single night stay or even a few days of accomodation, experiences, dining and visiting venues will help these regions start to get back on their feet! Local KI operator Craig Wickham from @exceptionalkangarooisland says “the Kangaroo Island community and environment has had enormous impact, but we still have an area triple the size of Singapore which is untouched”. Grab your empty esky, jump in the car and go and explore our state! ❤️ @southaustralia @satourismcommission

Where is 2020 taking you? #excitingtimes #caravanningwithkids ???? @life_on_the_open_road_au ・・・ Endless roads ???? people often asked us how we go driving long distances with a toddler and to be honest it isnt much fun ???? constant snacks and entertainment, poo explosions leading to his car seat being strapped outside and Ziggy being hosed down a whole lotta crying and screaming when he had had enough.. it definitely ain’t the best part of traveling! But if you plan your trips at sleep time and prepare to only drive for 3-4 hours it is definitely doable and totally worth it ????????. . . . . . . #mumlife #travellingfamily #travellingwithkids #travellingaustraliawithkids

Care to join us for an afternoon picnic? We know just the spot! @hugh_mcdougall was lucky enough to capture this stunning scene on a visit to Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake – one of Tassie’s most beloved landmarks. The iconic boatshed that stands on the north-western shore of Dove Lake was built in 1940 by the first Ranger at Cradle Mountain, Lionell Connell. Constructed largely of King Billy pine, the boatshed has to be one of Tasmania’s most photographed buildings. The setting definitely results in some solid daydreaming on the edge of the lake – can somebody pass the snacks? ????️???????? Thanks for tagging us, Hugh! #HolidayHereThisYear
